There is something so amazing about waterfalls. They have such extreme power and yet have a gentle elegance at the same time. How incredible is our Creator!

There are few things that demonstrate the vastness of the Creator more than the ocean. I often feel like its beauty and grandeur point me to the greatness of our Lord. What do you think?

Pink Rose

My daughter quite enjoys looking at and (more importantly) smelling flowers. She particularly enjoys these pink roses because they “smell good.” As for me, I am continually fascinated by the intricate detail and beauty of God’s creation. Pink may not be my favorite color, but I just love admiring the coloring, the fragrant smells, the shading, and the unfolding of the petals. The Creator is so incredible!

I recently came across this photo taken on Lago Atitlán in Guatemala in 1996. I was on my way by boat to a village that could not be accessible by vehicles.  There was something incredibly serene and beautiful about this area. This photo (especially since the quality has degraded over the years) does not even do the scene justice. I just love how God has painted his landscapes with amazing colors, not to mention how they are accented by sounds, smells, and weather. I appreciate how creation can really point us to the Creator.

I have avoided posting pictures of pets in the Beauty of Creation series to date. But our pets are God’s valued creations as well, so when I came across this picture of my dog when he was a puppy I couldn’t resist. There is something so incredible about the creatures God has made. Here we see the it-wasn’t-me-I’m-too-cute-to-have-done-it expression of a mischievous beagle puppy.

Ben DeVries, of Not One Sparrow, sent in this cool photo. This is a picture of a moose silhouetted in Rocky Mountain National Park. I really like this. There seems to be something so peaceful about it. Thank you to Ben for sending it in.

I took this picture last summer in Sequoia National Park. When I think of this park I think of the amazing trees.  However, there is so much more to this park.  Here you see a small stream running through an incredibly green forest.  I just love the diversity of God’s creation.

Thank you to Sharon Conklin who submitted her husband Nate’s great photo from Ethiopia.  To date we have spent much time appreciating the beauty of God’s creation as seen in sunsets, plants, views, and more but little time on animals.  Today we take a moment to appreciate the beauty of creation as seen in this picture of two Zebras.  How awesome is our Lord?

Jon Mestas who took this picture in his backyard around sunset. Such a great display of God’s creation.  This just makes me think of all the colors, shadows, etc that God plays with.  Thank you again for sharing.

What a beautiful scene! I’m not going to add anything to this one.  Simply take it in and praise the Creator.
